Attire Style: While the styles that she wears vary, the ensemble is always well planned out and put together. She has a taste for quality simplicity, whether it be a well-tailored suit or a fine silk dress. Personality: Spontaneous. Curious. Chaotic. She is sarcastic and dark-humored, and more than a little bit of a flirt. Aidie can be blunt with her observations, and yet deliver them in a coy, playful manner, even if intended to be threatening. For all her chaotic nature, she does stick close to her goals and plans. She can be very detached, and easily bored with subjects and even people who do not hold her immediate interest.

Spiritual Practices - Adlwyn's religious beliefs remain quiet and kept close to the chest. Raised under the teachings of Athena and Asclepius, she has long since renounced her following and instead has devoted her works to Chronos and Eris. She keeps a single stone representation of each, and on a rare occasion will have a small private ritual or burning in their honor; she considers her life's work to be dedication in itself.Rebirth Rituals - Upon the end of a lifetime, or within several hours prior to death, Adlwyn is required to follow a series of rituals to carry her into her next life. These are generally simple, consisting of a recitation in Ignan and a ritual burning, but failure to complete these or completing these and not dying can cause difficulties. Failing the rituals can result in any number of consequences; the more violent or abrupt the death, the stronger the resulting consequence in her next revival. Adlwyn was born a human woman, immortalized with the blood and soul of a phoenix. Her creation through rebirth, fire, and ashes has given her special characteristics and abilities reminiscent of the creature she is bonded to.
Rebirth Cycles
Adlwyn’s lifespan is on par with the average human, though she does not physically age. Over her life cycles she has calculated her average, uninterrupted life at eighty-eight years and three months. Upon reaching the end of her lifespan, her entire body is engulfed in flames and turned to ash before she is reborn in her natural winged form. Depending on circumstances, this process can be disorienting, painful, and lead to various or even dire consequences, particularly if she is unable to follow through on her rituals prior to death. Her age is reflected only in her eyes, changing from a bright gold to a deep crimson over the course of her life.
Light
Aidie’s nature is tied to the light of the sun and moon. Being out of natural light for a long period of time (days) will begin to show strongly in her mood and personality; continued lack of exposure will begin to weaken her physically, including her abilities and strength. Her abilities are also tied to the cycles of the moon, much like the cycles of her own life. She is at her strongest during the full moon, and tends to be quieter and more reclusive as it wanes and disappears from the night sky.
Oathdrop
Oathdrop is the current incarnation of Adlwyn's 'weapon'. In its modern form it is a small, simple necklace on a thin silver chain with a thumbnail-sized obsidian gem wrapped in ornate metalwork. The metal that encases the stone itself has been melted down and redesigned with a scattered few ashes of herself from her previous life and a handful of feathers immediately drawn after her reincarnation. Through this, the item has been tied to its owner and burns under the touch of another. The obsidian stone acts as a focus point for her abilities, allowing her more control and magnifying their strength.
Abilities
Heat – Aidie’s temperature naturally runs several degrees higher than a normal human, and she radiates heat from her body. Her touch is naturally warming on its own, but she is also able to create heat from within, without need of any sort of flame. This can be applied to other items, though she must be touching them to do so.Pyrokinesis – The ability to create and manipulate fire. This can vary from a spark to a full-fledged wildfire. The amount of energy this takes is in direct proportion to the size of the flame created. From these flames, she is able to bend and change its form as she pleases, creating fireballs or even walls of flame. Containing these flames once they have found fuel is a much more difficult task.Combustion – In extreme circumstances, Aidie has been known to make various items spontaneously combust into flames or incinerate entirely. These are usually things that are usually flammable, but the strength of this ability depends entirely upon her power state and any emotional or mental stresses.Douse – A complete reversal on her own abilities: she prefers to allow the flames to burn themselves out, however she does have the ability to shrink a flame back into a harmless state. This can prove to be a very difficult and draining task on an area larger than a few square feet.Wings – Aidie’s natural state includes a set of large, gold-and-crimson feathered wings. These are flight-capable and can appear and disappear at will, though recreating them from her flames without proper preparation is an exhausting task.Regeneration – Aidie can heal herself at an impressive rate and from the most grave of circumstances. The speed of her recovery depends in large part to her current power state (not including physical injuries). At her best, she is able to return from a near-death state in a day, but very rarely is she at her best in such situations. Recovery speed aside, given an amount of time, Aidie herself is able to recover from any number of injuries, poisons, or other damage that is not immediately lethal.Healing - Old tales talk of the healing powers of phoenix tears, and of a true-born phoenix this is true. There are also many rumors as to the effects of phoenix blood or ashes; she has not openly confirmed or denied their truth to any living person. Aidie has the ability to heal, though not through tears. However, the extreme toll it takes on her and thecurse it leaves behind on those healed means that she most often actively chooses not to. Weaknesses
Curse of Corruption / "The Rot" – The curse that killed her, kept dormant by her regenerative abilities. This can still be passed on to others through her healing touch, and the strength of the effects are relative to the amount of healing required. The curse causes the afflicted to become influenced by the deadly sin which most closely associates with them. Although this is usually seen as a weakness, it can also be used with malicious intent.Iron – As with many supernatural beings, Aidie is harmed by iron. The touch of it will burn her skin, and long exposure near it will weaken her over time. She has a natural aversion to objects containing iron.Darkness – Her attraction to light means that long periods without natural light can steadily affect her both mentally and physically. True, pure darkness will likewise have a stronger, more immediate effect on her.Blood of the Undead – Aidie is a creature of rebirth; undead beings are a natural repulsion for her, but the blood of the undead acts as a poison to her body. She can heal from it over time, but it will slow her down significantly until she has fully recovered. -
